QMT533 Assignment 1: Variable Types
Contoh:
Step 1: Pilih satu (1) variable yang ingin dikaji. Contoh: Moderating variable
Step 2: Mencari definasi Moderating variable.
Saya memilih Buku "Essential Research Methods for Social Work" sebagai bahan rujukan.
Definasi:
Moderating variables are those that are not influenced by the independent variable, but that can affect the relationship between the independent and dependent variables.

Dua artikel diperolehi:

Hasil pembacaan daripada artikel 1:
- Author: Ling, Chan Yew
- Tajuk: Consumers’ purchase intention of green products: an investigation of the drivers and moderating variable
- Objektif kajian: To examine drivers and its moderating variable that influencing consumers’ purchase intention on green personal care products
- Methodology: Multiple regression analysis and Hierarchical regression analysis
- Variable used:
- Dependent variable: purchase intention
- Indepedent variable: drivers
- Moderating variable: willingness of consumers to pay more on green personal care products
- Result: The willingness of consumers to pay for the price gap between green and non-green products was found moderated the relationship of the environmental attitudes and the purchase intention. In short, the outcomes of the study provide valuable insight to all that interested parties to know the drivers that able to motivate the change of behavior of the consumer in making their purchases on green personal care products
Hasil pembacaan daripada artikel 2:
- Author: Cambra-Fierro, Jesús Berbel-Pineda, Juan M. Ruiz-Benítez, Rocío Vázquez-Carrasco, Rosario
- Tajuk: Analysis of the moderating role of the gender variable in service recovery processes
- Objektif kajian:
- identify and explore antecedents of perceived satisfaction with service recovery processes as well as analyze links of such satisfaction with loyalty
- study the potential moderating role of the gender variable in service recovery processes
- Methodology: t-test, multi-group analysis
- Variable used:
- Moderating variable: Gender
- Result: gender plays a moderating role with regard to the relationships proposed in service recovery models
